		AX1118SP ( Passive loudspeakers ) The AX1118SP is a bass reflex, direct radiating, suspended subwoofer. The AX1118SP flying subwoofer unit complements the AX3210P when it is necessary to have extended bass frequency reproduction. The 18'' woofer has a neodymium magnet with a power handling of 1000 W AES, featuring an ISV Interleaved Sandwich Voice coil, a die cast basket with double ventilation and DDR Double Demodulating Rings to ensure excursion control and very low distortion levels. For improving the performance in efficiency, acoustic compression, maximum output, and distortion reduction the AX1118SP is equipped with a new ports profile. The sharp discontinuity at the end of a traditional port does create turbulence which negatively affects most performance parameters. Proel R&D department designed a more aerodynamic profile through the whole length of the port. This aerodynamic profile reduce the undesirable extraneous noises generated within the traditional port. The suspension system is integrated and is completely compatible with the AX3210P modules, allowing the realization of completely suspended systems with an excellent response even at very low frequencies. The AXIOM AX1118SP modules are of an AMP READY format: capable of being updated with the on-board amplifier / digital processor units which are currently in development. Featuring two 10” woofers with neodymium magnets and ISV coils (Interleaved Sandwich Voice coil) wound internally / externally to the support. The die-cast basket of the woofers features double ventilation to improve heat dissipation and therefore reduce the level of power compression. The flux demodulation ring, placed inside the magnetic circuit of the woofer, improves excursion control and reduces distortion. The two way coaxial compression driver features a neodymium magnet and a 2” throat.
