The MA40F shares the technical attributes of the MA40 with additional connectivity including an RJ45 facility port for connecting to remote modules such as LM-2B or LM-2W remote control plates. All inputs and outputs use detachable, screw terminal connectors.
Alternative connections for connecting an external 70V or 100V-line source are particularly useful if using the MA40F amplifier to carry emergency announcements from the main audio system of a building.
Optional and compatible wall plates include RSL-4W, RSL-4B, RL-1W, RL-1B which can be connected via plug-in screw type terminal connectors, and the LM-2W and LM-2B which are connected via the RJ45 facility-port. The PM1 paging microphone with single press-to-talk button can be connected to the microphone input and switches on the rear can be configured to enable microphone-over-music priority or paging control. Phantom power of +12V can be configured by way of internal jumpers.
An external 24V mains power supply is supplied with the amplifier, however an external DC supply of between 12 and 24V can be substituted. The maximum output power of 40W is reduced with DC supply voltages that fall below an 18V threshold.
